Scope Of Work
This was a ground mount solar array teamed with A & R Solar of Seattle located on a 30% grade on a Black Lake hillside in Olympia. We installed ten 2 7/8" diameter Galvanized steel helical piles on this sandy hillside to depths between 8 and 12 feet with tension capacities of over 10,000 lbs per pile. Each pile was capped with the Goliathtech patented adjustable hex and a 5x5 threaded rod flat plate to attach the 3" lateral pipe and IronRidge racking system. The level adjusting flat plates made for an easier transition for the solar contractor to attach the racking and panels.
With our install equipment including a mini excavator this allowed us to easily dig trench for the conduit run as well as cut in temporary work areas on the hillside. This was a project that didn't seem feasible with any other method and had been on a stand still until we got connected.
