Scope Of Work
The scope of work at the Chandler Airport Water Reclamation Facility includes:
Addition of Grit Removal Facilities
New facilities, including Grit Concentrators, Grit Pumps, Grit Washers/Classifiers and Grit Dewatering Conveyors
Pre-engineered metal building to house the Grit Washer/Classifiers and Grit Dewatering Conveyors and other ancillaries
Work also includes modifications to the PreStage Basin No. 1 Odor Control and associated piping changes, Pre-Stage Basin No. 2 Odor Control piping changes, concrete structures for Grit Concentrators, retaining wall and foundation slab for the Grit Dewatering Building, connections to existing facilities, yard piping modifications, relocation of existing utilities, electrical and instrumentation work, modifications to the existing FOXBORO DCS, miscellaneous site and grading work. Additionally, the scope includes the Belt Filter Press Pump No. 8 and associated piping, electrical and programming modifications as outlined in the Contract Documents.
The Chandler Airport Water Reclamation Facility is an end of the line facility and will continue to operate during construction; therefore, work includes extensive coordination with the existing treatment facilities operation (and work around) to complete the scope of the project.
