Scope Of Work
This tower retrofit project required the installation of additional piles to supplement the existing caissons for each of the three legs of this self-supporting tower. F&SS worked with the design team to use additional geotechnical data to develop a helical pile solution. Access was very difficult around all of the existing structures. F&SS fabricated a specialized boom to allow the crew to reach in between the above-ground obstructions to install the 12 piles required.
