NRC operations in the United States began with the company’s founding in 1992 as an oil spill response provider following the introduction of the 1990 Oil Pollution Act (‘OPA 90’). Since then, we have expanded through strategic acquisitions and organic growth to offer a comprehensive range of environmental services. These locations include fully staffed and equipped operation centers, TSDFs, and full-scale landfill facilities.

As the world’s largest commercial Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) and the only private contractor to hold the highest possible level of United States Coast Guard (USCG) classification in all continental regions, NRC provides its clientele with the best available response capabilities to hazardous materials incidents at facilities, in the water, over the road, and on rail throughout the United States.
