Building Automation (BAU)

The Building Automation Unit (BAU) helps buildings become smarter, more efficient, and sustainable. We provide a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, services, and flexible financing options designed to maximize building performance and peak efficiencies at any stage of its lifecycle.

Offerings include the APOGEE® Building Automation System, a platform for control, monitoring, and integration of building equipment and systems. A full range of on-site and remote building performance services meet unique customer needs, improve performance and operational efficiency while maintaining comfort and extending equipment lifecycles.

Our financial offerings, including Guaranteed Performance Contracting, Conserv™ and a Solar Power Purchase Agreement, help fund improvements that result in long-term energy savings. Customized solutions that use alternative and renewable energy and smart consumption applications allow customers to meet their green building goals and take advantage of Smart Grid technology.

Customized solutions are designed to meet the needs of several critical vertical markets, including federal government, healthcare, commercial office, data centers, higher education, and life science.

Control Products & Systems (CPS)

Control Products and Systems are much more than HVAC products. We're known for excellent quality, flexibility, comfort and energy savings. Our devices are designed for easy installation and quick commissioning, making it easier to achieve exceptional energy management performance through control with our TALON and APOGEE Building Automation Systems.

As the products organization for the Building Technologies Division, CPS offers total room and building solutions and energy management systems for medium and larger-sized buildings and campuses. We also provide energy management system solutions for much smaller buildings in the light commercial space through the Site Controls platform which provides enterprise energy management.

Our product portfolio also includes fire safety products and field devices making CPS the preferred partner for energy efficient, safe and secure buildings and infrastructure.

Fire Safety & Security (FSS)

Siemens standardized lifecycle solution and service applications include fire alarm monitoring, detection, evacuation and extinguishing; access control; video surveillance and intrusion detection. We have invested significant R&D dollars into our own leading-edge technologies with an exciting, new portfolio of life safety solutions that have the ability to integrate into a command and control platform combining fire, security and building automation systems.

Our customized, integrated enterprise solutions, such as Siemens Intelligent Response, are designed for critical infrastructure applications. Improving situational awareness, emergency communications and post-incident analysis, Siemens Intelligent Response uses a command and control, rules-based decision engine. It also streamlines mobilization and evacuation by enhancing information sharing across an interoperable platform.

Additionally, Siemens hosted and remote service management provides 24/7 monitoring from two UL-listed centers delivering complete turnkey fire safety and security solutions.
