Scope Of Work

In 1970 Genesee Valley Center was completed and opened to the public. At the time our company was the Erickson & Lindstrom Construction and was the General Contractor on the job. The E&L Construction Group since then has completed many additions, remodels and updates with the Genesee Valley Center.

We’ve done everything from removing all existing and outdated decorations, replaced the lighting in the concourses with one of a kind light fixtures handmade in Las Vegas, renovated entrances for ADA access, renovated the food & center courts, installed new carpet & perimeter tile, and painted the entire interior of the mall (60 different colors). Added new fountains, a new indoor playground, replaced the elevator, upgraded the primary electrical and natural gas services.  Outside we poured new sidewalks, renovated the public parking areas, improved exterior lighting and replaced the marquee signage.

In 2006 we undertook one of the most significant upgrades to the GVC with the complete demolition of the obsolete old Montgomery Ward building to make room for an all new outdoor village that included three clothing stores, one bookstore, one restaurant, one photography studio, one on-site college campus and new entrance from the ground up including outdoor courtyards.

We have a wonderful relationship with Genesee Valley Center and continue to remodel tenant shops for the public to enjoy.
