Coastal Supplies & Services Corp.

Coastal Supplies and Services is a Texas Corporation. We have been in business since October 2004, initially supplying doors to commercial builders. We expanded to supplying the complete opening; doors, frames and hardware. Our founder, Roland Canales had worked for several door companies in the area and contractors encouraged him to start his own business because he knew the business, they had confidence in him, and they knew he understood the needs in the industry. Bob Haley wanted to bring in oil and gas under the umbrella. Jan Pena was brought in to do the paperwork, accounting, and finances. We are expanding to include installation to provide the total opening and to have more control over the final product.

Coastal currently serves the greater Houston area. We have done jobs in Ft. Worth, Austin, Dallas, Galveston, Huntsville and San Antonio. We prefer to stay in the area, as we differentiate ourselves by going to the jobsite to help with issues. There are only 6 employees and to give the customer value, we want to be available.

We order our products from the factory to offer the customer competitive pricing. We currently have platinum discounting with doors and hardware. We have value added hardware lines that we can propose. We pay our vendors in 30 days so they will work with us on special pricing or expedited delivery if needed.

Our business culture is customer service. We will meet the customer at the jobsite to discuss options, find solutions, and give technical assistance. We are available. We answer our phones and return calls and emails immediately. We always address the customer with respect and listen to their concerns. We strive to be flexible and become a customer advocate when changes require a more aggressive delivery schedule and/or sudden material changes.

Coastal has WBE and SBE certification with the City of Houston. We have HUB certification with the State of Texas. We are certified by HISD, Metro and the Port of Houston. We have FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certification to sell “Green” Products.

We believe that not only can we contribute to building buildings, but to building the community as well. We are members of the AWCI and DHI. We participate in community service projects such as Wounded Warrior, Building New Foundations, and the Houston Rodeo.
