Testimonials
What a great joy it was meeting you and experiencing the refreshing way you look at life and your job.
I very much appreciate the services you performed at our home.
A tree in the middle of our deck seemed like such a good idea 30 years ago, but over time it began to warp the structural components of the deck. You and Brian did a fantastic job of removing it and clean up with no damage to the existing structure.
You make me want to plant a tree and call you to cut it down, just so we can meet again.
Thanks again,
“I want to thank you for another year of successful tree service for the Highline School District. With over 40 sites to manage, the need for immediate and cost effective tree removal and maintenance is essential to our operation. Speedy response, appropriate pricing and the overall value makes your approach to our needs a perfect match”
“Sky High Tree Removal did an excellent job for us in removing a 70′ Atlas Cedar. This was a very difficult removal because the tree had multiple trunks 18″ in diameter and several of them leaned over our neighbor’s tile roof, and other plants and trees we wanted to save. Josh was the only one to bid the job using a crane to safely lift the cut pieces without damaging the lawn the roof, and other shrubs. Sky High also has all the other equipment to do the complete job. Our neighbor had him take out a 60′ birch tree in one piece and run it through his chipper and blew the debris into one of his trucks. The chipper can handle a telephone pole sized piece in one pass. When he was done he used his stump grinder to remove the stump. It has soft wheels so it was able to roll across our lawn without damage. Of further ease of mind to us is that they are licensed, insured and bonded, and locally owned. This is the second time they have done work for us and we are completely satisfied”
“Over the past few years, I have had three occasions that I needed tree trimming & tree removal. All three times I have used Sky High Tree Removal. They have provided firm quotes which do not change after the jobs are completed. They arrive on time and have cleaned up the work site to leave it as they found it.”
“I highly recommend Sky High Tree Removal.”
Joshua is the best! I had him remove 4 very large trees that were VERY close to my house. He is very fair, honest, and his team are extremely hard workers. After the 100-120 year old Douglas firs were removed, they cleaned up EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. Only pictures in my phone and memories remain of these trees
Awesome, speedy work.
These guys (two the first day, three the second, when three were needed) cut down seven trees and trimmed three more for me. Two of the cut down trees were biggies: a 60 (?) foot red cedar with two trunks, one of which was leaning at an increasing angle against my house (and the other of which was rotting on one side where a split-off trunk had blown off), and a 60 (?) foot alder with many wide-spreading boughs that was dying and had just shed its top. Their stumps were over three and two feet wide, respectively.
They worked quickly, calmly, and efficiently in a coordinated fashion that bespoke long experience together. They didn't seem to have any "Oops!" moments. They had all the tools they needed, including a powerful wood chipper and a big truck to hold the chips. They didn't cut any corners: for instance, they lowered the boughs they cut with a cinched cable rigged to the treetops, to avoid causing damage below (such as hitting my neighbor's wires). They cleaned up after themselves thoroughly.
They were easy to get along with and granted my occasional requests (or politely explained why they couldn't). For example, they cut the large trunks into 16-inch-high "rounds" for me. They even did a special-request "handyman"-type task (which I paid for) that was outside their normal remit. Jerrold's occasional goofy grin was strangely reassuring.
Their estimator, Joshua, also rates an "A+". He was calm, agreeable, knowledgable, and helpful. And he offered a price below the prior estimate I'd received elsewhere, for a smaller job. (The value of my now-revived old homestead has, I estimate, increased by twice what I paid them.) Two thumbs up!
I called Josh at 4:30 p.m. on Friday to inquire about a getting a quote to cut down several trees around my house. I know it was late in the day, he was probably looking forward to going home an relaxing, so I expected to schedule an appointment sometime next week. Instead he said, "I'll be there in 20 minutes."
He was indeed here in 20 minutes, I explained my concern with the overgrowth on my property. 2 cedar trees about 75ft tall were growing within 5 inches of my gutter, the trees swayed dangerously on windy days, and dumped a whole mess of needles and branches on my roof year round. Next was some sort of Chestnut (I think) tree growing up into the power lines.
This tree has been nothing but a headache for me, it drops huge leaves and I could spend a whole weekend cleaning up the fallen leaves, filling up my yard bin, my neighbor's bin, and 7 disposable yard waste bags only for it to look like I did absolutely nothing on Monday! It was a huge pain, but with it being so close to the power lines I didn't wanna touch it! Next was a Douglas Fir (also in close vicinity to my roof), I asked that this be pruned, but Josh looked at it and told me that by the time they pruned it to the point where it might be presentable, that it would be almost bare and not worth keeping. He suggested removing it completely and putting something I like there instead. All in all, he surveyed the area and after carefully thinking, gave me a VERY reasonable quote to take down 4 trees. This included cleanup, removal of the brush and branches, and cutting the large cedars down into 18" logs, which I opted to keep for firewood.
We set up an appointment for the following Wednesday, but unfortunately I had to go to work so I couldn't see the work take place. I left the check with my neighbors and hoped for the best.
Imagine the anxiety I had throughout the day, imagining a large log falling on my roof! As I got near my house on my commute home I darn near had an anxiety attack! Once I got here however, I came to see a clean and neat driveway, with fallen logs neatly packed in the back corner (where I specified). They tucked them away so I could still easily park there! All debris was gone, no needles or mess, and the roof and ground were clear of any signs of sawdust or debris!
The only difference was...well, there were no trees! I was expecting to have to do some sort of clean up after they were done but....They did such an orderly and professional job that it wasn't even necessary. They gave maintenance tips to my neighbor to pass on to me to help prevent anything from growing back again, and were on their way.
Now I didn't see it, but my neighbors did and he said he has never seen a more efficient and professional tree cutting company in his 35+ years in construction. He thought he would have to come out and yell at them to mind the property and not cut down my beloved Japanese Maple, but was instead awed by their efficiency. He opted to enjoy the show with a beer instead. He's not an easy man to impress but he made sure he got Sky High's number from me that evening.
Anyhow, I'm incredibly impressed, these guys are amazing. It seems that they're a smaller company and I talked to Josh later to express my gratitude, and he told me that leaving a good review is the best way to get the word out on his company.
So here I am, if you're considering getting some trees removed, give these guys a call. They're neat, punctual, fair priced and very professional.
We had a couple large trees, including a really big atlas cedar with multiple large trunks that needed to be removed as they were close to power lines and hanging over the house. The estimate that they gave was very reasonable for the amount of work that had to be done. They showed up on time, removed both trees in a single day and cleaned up very thoroughly before they left. Couldn't be happier. In fact, the neighbors are going to hire them to remove some trees from their property and I'm going to recommend them to my mother for some work she needs done.
