Scope Of Work
This job scope included removal of a 300-ton Absorption chiller and having it replaced with a 300-ton screw machine chiller. The challenge here was for Piper to get the old machine out and the new one in as the original chiller was native, and assembled in place. Head project Engineer Al Toscano utilized the partial opening of an existing boiler room exhaust fan, and removed the lower part of the exterior wall to rig the new chiller into the building and in place as shown in the photos. The lower portion of the wall was re-constructed upon completion.
