Our Story

Experience will make the difference

Experience will make the difference when rectifying your insurance claim after Hurricane Michael.

Have you tried to get a roofer to keep their scheduled appointment?

Have you heard excuse after excuse?

Have you actually had a roofer arrive for your scheduled appointment?

Let me be as clear as I possibly can. This post will be lengthy, but if you are a Hurricane Michael Survivor, it will be worth every minute.

Start here:

I know that you need a roof estimate. I also know that you are having a tough time getting any roofer to show up, and when they do, they say that they will send you an estimate and still, you do not have an estimate.

This is current pricing:

Architectural Shingles – starting at $3.50 sq ft

Residential Metal Roof – starting at $6.50 sq ft

Water Barrier / Ice and Water Shield entire roof – starting at $0.40 sq ft

Do you want an estimate?

Do you want an estimate? I will give you an estimate at no charge. Send the property address or the number of squares that you need installed and I will have an estimate to you many times in less than 30 minutes.

Prefer to meet at the property?

I will block out a 2 hour window, just for you. We will meet at the property and I will complete a 12 Point Roof Inspection, with pictures and video. You matter to me. What you have been through and what you will still go through is heartbreaking.

Now that you have what you have been convinced is most important to you right now, an estimate. Are you happier? It feels good to have an idea of what dollar amount the repairs may come to.

Now this estimate is complete and fully engageable. This estimate will be presented on a proposal form / letterhead, and meets all of the insurance companies requirements.

It would not be American of me to only give you one option, so let me give you a couple more options.

The insurance company is notorious for sending out roof estimates that are well below market value. This is another tactic that they are accused of intentionally doing. Most of the Xactimate estimates that I have seen after Michael from insurance companies only have 6-10 line items ($6000-$9000) included for the roof portion of the claim.

This is where my experience will make the difference for my clients. Do not get into the arena with an experienced insurance company without employing experience on your side.

Roofs damaged by Hurricane Michael in this market require 16-25 line items ($9500-$22,000) to be fair and complete. I will go into battle with you and we will get you a fair, complete, and timely settlement completely indemnifying you and your family.

I will prepare an Xactimate estimate for your roof, including all of the necessary line items, and including current fair market value pricing. Insurance companies pay as much as $2500 each to an adjuster for each Xactimate estimate. I will complete the Xactimate and rectify the differences with your insurance company at zero cost to you. I ask for a signed contingent roof agreement in return.

Some of you may not be ready to make a commitment just yet

Some of you may not be ready to make a commitment just yet, although you should be ready, and you should choose your contractor soon. For those of you that do not want to make a commitment on the roof, I will prepare the Xactimate estimate at your request, and deliver it to you for $375. You will even get your $375 back when you do decide to use me as your roofer. This price is a “no strings attached” offer.

Many of you need more than just a roof estimate. I will do a thorough interior and exterior Hurricane Michael Damage Inspection and complete an Xactimate estimate for all of the Hurricane damages at zero additional cost to you. I have experience identifying, reporting and recovering fair, timely payment for all damages caused by Hurricanes and severe weather events. I ask that you hire me to complete the construction of the roof portion of the claim, in return.

If you do not want to commit the roof contract to anyone yet, that’s is ok too.The cost of the complete interior / exterior Xactimate estimate is $750. This is a fully refundable cost with a signed roof agreement.

The Xactimate estimates that I prepare are normally 3-5 times the initial report from the insurance company. I only ask that you award me the roof contract, you can decide if there are things that you want to contract to another company or do yourself. If you want me to complete any of the other trades, just say the word. I can help with the repairs on all trades.

Let’s team up to make sure that you are compensated fairly, completely and in a timely manner

All major insurance companies have extensive experience with hurricane claims. You DO NOT have experience with hurricane claims.

All major insurance companies have extensive experience with hurricane claims.

You DO NOT have experience with hurricane claims.

I have been roofing Hurricane claims since 2005. That was the year that Katrina grazed Miami before destroying so much in New Orleans. Then Hurricane Wilma made a direct hit. I worked at my 1st roofing company, I signed my first roof agreement with a property owner, I experienced long lines for gas for the first time, It was the first time that I had gone without power for more than a week, and it was the first time that I worked out the details of the roof payment with an Insurance Company.

Insurance companies are very experienced at settling hurricane claims. They have also been accused of treating their clients unfairly. One of the major insurance companies was banned from writing new policies in the entire state of FL, because they were caught intentionally, denying, delaying, or underpaying hurricane repair claims. You are not “in good hands” after all.

Hurricane Wilma was the first of many hurricanes that I have worked on the side of homeowners and their roofs, against the insurance companies, to get complete, fair, and timely settlements for their client, you.

Here is a sobering look at the numbers. It is estimated that Hurricane Michael caused more than $53 billion dollars in direct loss.

The top 100 roofing companies in the entire nation did a total of $4.9 billionin completed roof projects in all of 2017. That means that if the nations top 100 roofing companies stopped what they were doing and came here to help rebuild, and they had their best year ever again, they would only be able to complete about 10% of the needed repairs.

We are talking about the nation’s best roofing companies. Even if we agree that not all of the $53 billion in damages will be roofs, but agree that it is safe to say that at least $15 billion in damages are roofs. It would take the top 100 roofing companies in the USA more than 3 years to complete. Do you want to wait three years?

There are not enough roofing companies in the area. There are not enough experienced reps in the area. There will not be enough material produced and delivered to the area without significant delays.

I will work with only 100 homeowners. It is all that I can take on and complete in a year, and I am one of the good ones. I have already committed to just over 20 homeowners. I will only be able to make a difference in the lives of 80 or so more. I am selective about the clients that I commit to. Everyone that has an insurance claim will not get my experience on their team. I will commit to going into battle with those who are willing to stand up with me for what is rightfully owed.
