As the founder and president, Danmei is responsible for setting the vision, strategy, operation structure of the entire organization, and oversees all aspects of SEG’s construction, engineering and financial operations.

?Danmei is a licensed Structural Engineer with over 30 years of experience. She has led designs of numerous complex structures throughout her engineering career. Her innovative designs have been recognized among her customers and peers.
 

Danmei started SEG with a single employee in her home basement in 2005, and she has led SEG’s business growth from being just a structural engineering service to also offer design-build, general construction and structural repair services.  In the past 15 years, Danmei has been focusing on corporate operation, business development and client relationships.

 Danmei is a member of American Concrete Institute, Society of American Military Engineers, Design-Build Institute of America, as well as BB & T Dulles Board Advisory.

As a Structural Technician, Hong designs and reviews construction plans through AutoCAD to make sure that the structure is safe and satisfies our clients. He also conducts site visits where he assists in the inspection of unsafe buildings and recommends methods for demolition or repairs. Other responsibilities includes miscellaneous administration tasks such as managing all of the equipment for inspections and assisting our engineers.

Vice President of Engineering, Kaichen Zhang is responsible for leading, managing and mentoring a team of engineers in the planning and overall construction of all structural engineer work to ensure standards are maintained and exceeded.

Kaichen Zhang PE, SE is a Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer with over three decades of structural engineering experience. His expertise ranges from post?tension and pre?stressed concrete construction to all types of complex framing systems. Mr. Zhang has been an integral leader with SEG for over 14 years and a Structural Engineer for over 30 years. He is meticulous and efficient, ensuring each project gets completed above and beyond the project owners’ standards, on-time and on-budget.

His portfolio includes leading the structural designs of new buildings, existing building renovations and alterations in Federal, Regional, and Municipal facilities.

As an Assistant Project Manager, Andrea's overall duties includes project execution, cost control and communications. She's responsible for the coordination of construction and administration duties in support of the Project Manager. Being in charge of coordination, she acts as the liaison for all project stakeholders. Additionally, Andrea maintains project files on subcontractors and suppliers, prepares change orders, and tracks/prepares the general requisition.

Senior Project Manager, Andrew Ghiglieri is responsible for overseeing a successful, on-time and within budget completion of projects. He is in charge of the overall project planning, risk management, creating benchmarks, managing the budget, staff and key stakeholders. He also coordinates drawing releases with the Engineers and works with installation crews to ensure timely deliveries and installations. Not only that, Andrew reviews project status reports, completes project billings, provides information as required to project teams and clients, and reviews/plans with the project team.

As the Field Operations Manager and Senior Superintendent, Bill's responsibilities includes; managing our in-house concrete crew, site supervision, coordination of daily operations, direction of field personnel, job-site safety and quality control. He's also in charge of making sure that our fleets and equipment are properly maintained and stored for all of our projects.

As a Project Engineer at SEG, Chenchen prepares drawings with Revit/CAD, reviews shop drawings and visits the job sites.

She also works with our Estimating department to create bid scopes, cost analysis and find potential subcontractors for opportunities that SEG pursues. 

As a Structural Engineer at SEG, Jack prepares drawings with Revit/CAD, performs structural analysis, reviews shop drawings and visits the job sites. While at the job sites, he obtains information regarding the existing building and provides structural solutions for issues during renovation and new construction.

As an Assistant Project Manager at SEG, Thien works directly with our Project Managers to ensure that all of our projects are completed on time. He helps with coordinating and managing projects, being the liaison for project stakeholders. In addition, Thien drafts invoices and drawing estimates and works directly with our subcontractors.

Senior Project Manager, Yama Paienda develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance the company’s ability to procure projects, reviews weekly project status reports, complete project billings, and provides information as required to keep upper management and clients properly informed. He also coordinates drawing releases with the project coordinators for shop fabrication and works with installation crews to coordinate timely deliveries and installations. Yama reviews the preliminary schedule and detailed project schedule with the project team for overall project performance, maintain budgets and ensures safety / change management.

As the Business Manager at SEG, Toni handles the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. She is also in charge of handling the company benefits, fleet vehicles and bonding requests. 

Mr. Shields has over 30 years of experience providing financial support, management and analysis for both public and private sectors within the Washington, DC area building industry. He works with SEG's project managers to analyze reports and produce financial forecasts for senior management. Mr. Shield's primary background has been in real estate related organizations covering both residential and commercial construction as well as property management. 

Brian’s role as a Superintendent is to run the day-to-day activities of a job site. His duties include scheduling all work with the subcontractors in an efficient manner to ensure all work is completed on time and per project scope and specifications. As the Superintendent, Mr. Kelly also works with the Project Manager to buy out the project, develop and review the project schedule, and develop and maintain 2-week look-ahead schedules to efficiently manage daily site activities.

Recent notable projects include GSA Plaza Drainage, IRS Building Courtyard/Loading Dock Waterproofing and Repair,  HUD South Plaza and Loading Dock Waterproofing and Concrete Repairs , and the Building 31F Breezeway at DLA Richmond.

Rick's 30 years of experience enables him to supervise construction projects for quality, safety, and contract adherence. He interfaces well with clients, architects and engineers, and the subcontractors on his job sites. Rick's ability to understand issues and counsel for their resolution is one of his many valuable attributes.

Notable projects with SEG include the renovation of the Pedestrian Bridge at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and renovation work on the campus of the Washington Education Zone in Lanham, Maryland. Past experience includes the New York Police Academy (New Campus), Atlantic Yard (Barclay Center), NYC Housing Authority Apartment Renovations, and a Pentagon Security Access Building.

Richard has over 27 years of experience overseeing and participating in all phases of construction for governmental, commercial, and residential projects including tenant renovation and modifications, historic restorations, facilities management and new construction.

Richard is OSHA 30 certified, and holds certificates in Construction Quality Management and CPR/AED/First Aid.
