Our Approach

Every project is different, and we approach the projects that way. As a General Contractor for over 20 years in Alaska and Arizona every job has it unique set of circumstances and being flexible and open to  different approaches to every project has it advantages. The most important in any project is communication. We are always available and respond promptly and expect the same from our clients.

Our Story

Richard and Mary moved to Arizona from Anchorage Alaska in May of 2004 and started RSJ Construction LLC in January of 2005. Richard background was Commercial Construction as a Union Carpenter out of local 1281 and worked shortly for the local union in Arizona, Richard was born on Kodiak island in Alaska, and was raised in southern California. Richard is part Alaska Native both Eskimo, Aleut and Athabaskan, he is also Norwegian, Swedish English, Irish and Russian. RSJ Construction LLC is a registered  Alaskan Native Company in Arizona, although RSJ Construction has not gotten any of the projects listed under this category, which includes Native set asides by the government and Indian owned business that get a bid preference, we are very interested in working with well established experienced companies for mentorship, joint ventures and  possible sub contracting opportunities for us. We are currently looking for drywall, metal framing. metal doors, wood doors, commercial trim and other projects to bid on. we are also available on a per hour rates for certain projects. we have Insurance, workman comp and bonding. we have experience working in medical facilities and commercial buildings.
