Barrtech Design Woodworks

Barrtech Design Woodworks is a custom woodworking shop serving the Houston and the Southeast Texas area since 2000.  We started in a 2-car garage and a few years later, moved into a 2400sqft shop which gave us the work space we so needed.  The owner, David Barr, got his start in woodworking as a teenager many years ago helping his father and grandfather build different items.  He enjoyed working with wood and his experience eventually developed into the business he has today.
 
We design and build custom cabinetry for audio/visual equipment used in commercial environments as well as some residential.  Commercial products we create range from lecterns/podiums for training rooms and boardrooms to workstations and FOH (Front Of House) desks for churches and educational institutions.

Residential cabinetwork most often consists of entertainment centers, credenzas or other cabinetry for housing the homeowner's personal audio/visual equipment.  We've built computer desks, doors and even a poker table, just to name a few other examples.  So our work is varied.

What makes us unique from most custom cabinetmakers is David also has 30+ years of experience in the audio/visual service industry.  That experience helps us to better understand a customer's needs regarding the custom project that will be expected to house commercial or residential audio/visual equipment.  We know what to expect and what to plan for, even if the client doesn't.  The end result is custom cabinetry that will easily integrate with any audio/visual equipment that may be installed.
