Our Story

Ammon Nursery was founded in the spring of 1950 by Dick and Shirley Ammon.  Dick sold landscaping door-to-door during the post-war boom years in the Florence area.  The first nursery and garden store was located where the Florence Mall stands today and consisted of $50.00 worth of shrubs and a 15-year-old pick up truck.  The Ammon organization has grown into three major areas.

Ammon Farm, a nursery growing primarily shade and ornamental trees

Ammon Wholesale Nursery, a container-growing operation servicing the wholesale market

Ammon-Jones Landscape, Inc., a landscape design firm specializing in residential and commercial landscaping.

On November 1st, 2002 Dave and Shirley Jones acquired Ammon Landscape and will continue to operate under the same high standards that the Ammon name has always represented.
