Guido Vliegen is an accomplished C-Level executive, with broad experience in global sales, marketing, production, as well as research and development of performance materials.

Originally from the Netherlands, Guido has lived and worked in Europe and the USA. In 2005, Guido moved to Georgia, U.S.A. to drive the strategy and integration of a newly acquired large American business unit of personal protective textiles for TenCate.

Later, Guido was Global Group Director for TenCate Grass for TenCate’s global synthetic grass division. He drove the transformation of the global business into a full-fledged leading supplier of components and finished products.

Most recently, Guido was a partner with B2B CFO® helping privately held small & medium sized businesses to increase and realize their value potential.

Guido holds an MBA / MSc from Eindhoven University of Technology.

Purchased Exxon’s PP fabric business in 1991 – Grew from $38M to $128M in 4 years.

Limited partner and consultant for private equity funds – 1995-present.

Started Nexcel Synthetics in 1997; PP carpet backing, PP fibers/yarns, PE/PP artificial turf – Grew from $400K in 1997 to $60M in 2004 – Sold to Blue Point Capital in 2004 – Purchased back as ITS in 2010. American Synthetics (americansynthetics.org) – Formed in 2009 in Charleston, SC – Producing polywoven packaging.

ITS purchased back Nexcel assets in 2010 in conjunction with Northstar Capital. ITS purchased Sprinturf in August 2010 to form first fully integrated turf company.
