Project Advisors
Providing advice from conception to completion of a construction project, we attempt to anticipate the types of risks that will arise and recommend ways to meet these risks through the contracting process. The goal is to help our clients deal with financial and technical contingencies prior to construction and to allocate duties and responsibilities. Our aims are cost savings, avoidance of disputes and completion on time within budget parameters. Services at the preconstruction stages of a project include: 1) Determining the project delivery method, such as design/build, construction management, etc., that will best achieve the owner's goals; 2) Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction contracts; and 3) Counseling clients on matters of claim avoidance, risk management and scheduling issues.

Contract Administration
Our hands-on experience enables our firm to expeditiously assist clients in contract administration issues. This may include (a) assisting in documenting problems or positions, (b) providing advice on contract interpretation, (c) negotiating change orders and contract adjustments, and (d) providing prompt legal advice on issues as they arise for on-site personnel in management issues during the building phase.

Gordon, a former AAA Arbitrator in construction litigation heads our powerful and effective litigation/arbitration team, with over 20 years of experience involving breach and non-performance cases, including claims and defenses based on design or structural defects, architectural errors, roofing, stucco, glass, structural steel, structural concrete, waterproofing, drainage, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life safety, fire sprinklers, shoring, formwork, brickwork, faux finishes, millwork, cabinetry, stonework, drywall, paint, etc. Cases have been determined through ADR, arbitration, litigation, court and jury trials, as well as through appeals.
