Scope Of Work

May 24, 2018 - Mach 1 was recently awarded this project which consists of clearing, demolition of existing parking lots, grading, storm drainage, ADS underground detention system, sanitary sewer, fire distribution lines, etc. for the Stivers Subaru dealership in Decatur.  This dealership must remain active during construction so taking great care to not disrupt potential car buyers is paramount to Mr. John Stivers and his amazing team!  Mach 1 is working closely with Metro Green Construction to phase the project in a manner that will be conducive to a productive construction site, with little to no disruption to the dealership's daily activities.  Check back soon for more updates!

July 13, 2018 - Permitting issues have delayed this project slightly but Mach 1 continues to work with the GC to keep this project moving forward.  Recently our crews completed the reroute of an existing 10'' sanitary sewer line, which was over 10' deep and needed to be moved in order to grade for the new building pad.  The new 10'' sewer line has been tested and approved by DeKalb County.  Grading for the building pad will begin shortly, followed by the installation of new 3'' domestic water lines and an ADS underground detention system.  Check back soon for more updates!

August 2, 2018 - The building pad has been graded, sewer lines rerouted and domestic water line has been installed to where the footings can be excavated.  However, the building permits are still under review due to plan changes so Mach 1 is in the process of demobilizing until the permits are in hand.  Due to the permitting issues and phasing requirements, Mach 1 will not be able to install the underground detention system as this would cut off the Owner's ability to adequately service their customers.  All other relevant work that can be done is complete and the site is being dressed up for our departure.  Mach 1 hopes that it will be notified soon when permits are in hand and we'll be right back at it at that time!  Check back soon for more updates.

September 13, 2018 - Mach 1 recently came back to Stivers Subaru at the request of Metro Green Construction to demolish the existing service building and surrounding parking areas in order to prep for the installation of the larger service building at the rear of the site.  Mach 1 carefully removed all materials and divided them up for proper disposal.  Additionally, a portable crushing unit was mobilized to crush existing asphalt and concrete material, which can be used as fill material for the future building pad but also as base material for the parking areas.  This "green" practice saves us from hauling debris take up space in landfills, which further promotes the eco-friendly Subaru brand as a top notch manufacturer of some of the safest, fuel efficient cars and SUVs on the roads today!  Now that construction is starting on the building pads, the next phase of Mach 1's work will be to finish up the sewer lines before heading over to the opposite side of the dealership to install the ADS underground detention system.  Please check back for more updates.

July 9, 2019 - Mach 1 recently completed its scope of work at the Stivers Subaru dealership.  After being away for several months due to the phasing requirements, Mach 1 was able to move in and install the underground detention system provided by ADS.  During excavation, we uncovered boulders, wet soils, etc. that had to be removed from the project.  Once removed, we were able to wrap up the parking lot grading and clean up.  The dealership is already enjoying the benefits of the newly added space they needed for service and sales!
