Scope Of Work

10-19-17 - This is an upcoming project that will start on October 23, 2017.  We have been contracted by CBI General Contractors out of Cumming, GA to assist with the construction of a new Express Oil Change in Canton, GA.  The work will include import of fill material, finish grading, excavation and back fill of tank pits, foundation drain submersible pump installation, sanitary sewer, domestic water, storm drainage, demolition and erosion control.

Locates are called in and pre-construction photos have been taken ahead of silt fence delivery and equipment will start moving in this week.  Mach 1 is grateful to be able to work on yet another Express Oil change project as this one will be the third for this Client over the past year!  Check back soon for more updates.

10-25-17 - Mach 1 started demolition of existing driveway aprons and silt fence installation yesterday at the new Express Oil in Canton.  Existing irrigation and gas lines provide us with some minor obstacles but our crews take great care to work safely in congested areas.  We expect all silt fence, entrances and demo to be completed this week in order to get the green light from Cherokee County to proceed with our storm drainage and import of fill material starting next week.

11-15-17 - The storm lines are in, including the deep doghouse manholes, the sanitary sewer lines and 1,500 gallon grease trap are installed and we just about wrapped up the import of fill material to help balance the grades on site.  Before we can proceed further however, the oil change pit walls will need to be poured and have sufficient time to cure before we can finish all back fill operations.  We'll be heading back after Thanksgiving to wrap up the grading and water lines and that will be it for us on this one.  Check back soon for more updates!

12-7-17 - Between today and tomorrow, we'll be finishing up some fine grading in the parking lot and landscaped areas and we'll be nearly finished with this project!  We are waiting for local municipality to bore Highway 140 and run their domestic water line to the site so we can make our final connection.  Other trades have moved in and with any project, coordinating your efforts to ensure the site runs smoothly is critical.  This is especially true with smaller projects like this one but that's what makes our jobs so much fun!

1-8-18 - To allow for the construction of the building and minimize onsite traffic, Mach 1 is currently working on another project until such time we may be able to remobilize to tie in the water line to the County-installed meter and to make repairs to the paving subgrades that may be present from continued use of the site.  Check back soon for more updates!

2-27-18 - Mach 1 is back on site to wrap up another Express Oil Change project!  The weather hasn't been kind to this project however we are out there working with CBI General Contractors to make the last sprint to the finish line so to speak.  On the agenda, getting the water line hooked up to the building and do some repairs to sub grades that have been damaged due to the weather coupled with your typical construction traffic and that will be it for us.  Check back soon for more updates!

4-16-18 - Mach 1 finished this project in late March after working through some rough weather related conditions.  We worked with the GC to haul out wet soils to accommodate the application of soil cement to stabilize the parking lot.  No other work remains for Mach 1 which means another Express Oil Change in the books!
