E.P. Construction was incorporated in 2007  by Lauren Wurzer.  E.P. Construction was incorporated for the purpose of the construction of HOTELS in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, as well as (13) other states.

The construction team built its first hotel in 1990, while the company was under different ownership, and that was a Wingate Inn, Oklahoma City, OK.  Since that time, we have grown into a Hospitality Only Contractor.  We specialize in managing hotel construction.

Lauren Wurzer has (25) years of experience managing the construction of hotels.  He is a graduate of Iowa State University.  His area of study was Construction Sciences, with a specialty in Civil Engineering.  Lauren is a “Hands On” manager, and visits each project he is managing every (2) weeks.  He checks for compliance, but most important, finding and resolving construction issues before they become a problem.    

Joe Lansdown has the same amount of hotel experience, while specializing in Pre Construction, Value Engineering, Buildabilty, and taking each project from concept to start.  Joe holds a Master’s Degree in the Sciences, and, maintains the designation of CCM, Certified Construction Manager of the Construction Management Association of America.  As well as a Certified Cost Engineer.

E.P. Construction does maintain as well, USGBC membership, with LEED Green Associate designation for those projects that may have as a goal, LEED acceptance as a goal. 

Most often, as a team, we are called upon to resurrect projects that otherwise would not be built, by employing Value Engineering, creative construction methods and techniques, as well as creating a job plan with the minimum of personnel, and implementing that plan, in the quickest amount of time. 

While each hotel is different, our performance is consistent with a (12) month opening from raw dirt to an open hotel. This for a (3) story, wood frame hotel.   With a team work spirit, the last month of construction is viewed as a “Shared Jobsite” for both the owner to open his business, while we complete ours and get the inspections. 

Over time, E.P. Construction has developed a team of subcontractors and vendors who are licensed in like states, are familiar with our management style, schedule, and expectations, to form a team, each with their part in a successful project. 

E.P. Construction has completed:  Amerisuites, Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Courtyard Marriot, La Quinta, Wingate, Microtel, Country Inn & Suites, Hampton Inn, and Candlewood Inn & Suites, to name a few.

While our home base is in Oklahoma City, we are centrally located to serve the Midwest.  E.P. Construction goes South to Texas, and currently has hotels under construction in Texas. We have been as far east as the ocean.  As far North as Wyoming, and as far West as Colorado.  E.P. Construction maintains either the licensure, or the registration, in states where licensing is not required in (34) states.   

E.P. Construction starts every project with the requirement, that once complete, the owner will hire E.P. Construction for the next project.
