Scope Of Work
700 Washington is a luxury student housing project located near the University of Minnesota campus. This six-story building features 98 mixed-use student units standing on 20,000 SF of retail and restaurant space (127,200 SF total), with a student community room offering panoramic views of TCF Bank Stadium.
Constructed on an extremely tight site, Reuter Walton successfully collaborated with city, university, and metropolitan council authorities to coordinate street closures, lane closures, deliveries, and building access in order to assure public safety and timely completion of this project.
When Reuter Walton was approached for this project, the budget had been deemed unfeasible by other contractors. With one year of preconstruction and much creative value engineering, including sourcing alternative siding and window materials without sacrificing quality, Reuter Walton was able to hit the owners desired budget and complete the project successfully.
