In 2011, insurance Commissioner, Mike Geeslin signed off on a new policy that requires insurance companies in Texas to implement new guidelines when inspecting and approving insurance claims. These guidelines include but are not limited to: busted fasteners, broken seals, creasing of shingles from high winds, torn shingles, and missing shingles. This means that even if you have had a roof replacement claim previously denied, thanks to the new guidelines, you may now be eligible.
