Our Story
Pro Tapping Inc. is the largest privately held pressure tapping in North America that specializes in working on live and pressurized pipelines without system shutdowns.
Pro Tapping has the expertise needed to maintain pipelines containing brine, propane, natural gas, syltherm, H2S, steam, water, sewer, and other contents. Our certified professionals have worked for nuclear facilities, underground and mechanical contractors, municipalities, refineries, and steel mills throughout the United States.
Based in Medford, New Jersey, Pro Tapping was started by Ross Miller in 1983. A mechanical engineer, Ross has more than 40 years of experience as a certified welder and a retired UA pipe fitter. His proficiency and accommodating customer service have helped Pro Tapping earn a positive reputation as “The No Shutdown Specialists.”
Our dedicated staff is adept at handling small — and large-scale projects, yet provides one-on-one attention for each client. When you need to keep things flowing smoothly, trust our expertise and commitment to get things done right.

Did you know we have our own machine shop on-site to repair your cutters and pilot drills? We can repair your tapping or line stopping equipment whatever the make or model.
