My name is Cindy Waterworth and I’m the managing owner of The Backhoe Lady, Ltd. Co.  We are an excavation company providing services to the Santa Fe area and around the state of New Mexico since 1994.  We are licensed in New Mexico and are an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.

Many years of work in management positions prior to this company helped develop my skills in customer relations and management issues.  I know the importance of timeliness and dependability and also the importance of quality and precision in our work.  These qualities have been applied to The Backhoe Lady to provide better service to you, our valued customers. 

The Backhoe Lady provides multiple excavation services for both contractors and homeowners. We pride ourselves in being
dependable and timely. Because your time is valuable, we do not want
to waste your important resource. Therefore, if we schedule your
particular job, we will be there as scheduled, or we will call you. We

Some of the services we provide include excavating out areas for building sites, including preparing the site with fill dirt and compaction. We provide digging for footings, interior plumbing, septic or sewer, power, water and gas lines. Once the building is completed, we do grading and clean up around the exterior. One year our exterior grading won first place in the Santa Fe Parade of Homes.

Building new driveways for residences and businesses, and repairing or maintaining existing driveways is another one of our strengths. We install culverts when requested, put on base course or gravel, and install bar ditches for drainage. We have many satisfied customers and a portfolio of our work is available for viewing.

Another area which we have stepped into is when our customers have lost a beloved horse. Private burials are conducted for these members of their families with the respect due an animal that has given years of devotion and service to the family. For our horse owner clients, we build outdoor riding arenas by compacting the base, assuring the proper grade for drainage, and applying a cover layer of sand to their specified depth. These arenas are built to the owners specifications and range from just leveling
out a dirt area for riding to a complete arena with a compacted base topped off with sand.

Other areas of experience have included demolition of small buildings and concrete/pavement pads, archeological digs, and the precision digging required for designer ponds. We have also worked extensively with landscapers. sculpting backyards and hillsides to proper specifications for landscaping designs. Because some of these are in small areas, great care is taken to assure no damages occur to anything in the area. We always try to leave our work areas better than we found them.
