Our History

Trekker’s founding partners are part of the legacy of Puerto Rico Wire Group, established in 1955 by Jose Cestero Jimenez and Sara Yordan Fonalleras. From 1976 to 2011, the co-founder’s son Jose Cestero Yordan was CEO; as of 2011, the third generation of this family-owned business is at its helm, under the leadership of the co-founder’s grandson, Jose Cestero Ramirez.

Trekker Group in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean

Today, Trekker has grown into Puerto Rico’s leading sales, rental, and servicing company. It is the island’s most recognized source for all types of construction, concrete, and formwork and shoring equipment and materials. It also offers the largest rental pool of construction and aerial equipment in the Caribbean.

Trekker Group’s Puerto Rican/Caribbean division includes:

Puerto Rico Wire Group, a distributor of construction wire products Ace Forming Systems, Inc., which sells and rents formwork & shoring and scaffolding supplies Ace Construction Supplies, Inc., a manufacturer of construction wire products and concrete & masonry accessories Nu-Vue Industries of Puerto Rico, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of metal building components and shutters.

Trekker Group in Florida and the Southeast United States

In 2010, Puerto Rico Wire Group’s leadership founded Trekker Tractor in Florida. The company sells, rents, and services CASE and other construction equipment, plus a variety of tools and accessories.

Shortly after, in 2012, Trekker Distributor was created to provide concrete formwork and shoring supplies and design consultation services, as well as multiple construction equipment lines throughout Florida and most states in the southeastern US.

With over 60 years of history, Trekker Group leverages its leadership’s experience, dedicated employees and partners, top quality brands, longtime relationships, and product diversification to provide customers with the best service in the industry. This level of service has been the key to Trekker’s continuous growth over the years.
