AHRS Construction, Inc.

In the 42 years of his ownership of AHRS, Dan has developed a diversified construction company capable of managing and constructing many types of projects, including new and renovated commercial projects and residential construction. His leadership, problem solving, management, and organizational skills have been the foundation of many successful projects. Dan’s community involvement has helped to understand the needs of the customers in the local area.

Emily began working for AHRS in May, filling the role as Executive Secretary. She completes a wide variety of duties in the office such as account reconciliation, managing marketing tools as well as cross training HR duties.
 

Jay earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University and has 17 years of experience in the construction industry, 14 years of which have been with AHRS Construction, Inc. While working with AHRS, Jay has developed strong relationships in the pre-construction community. In his role as estimator, Jay assembles a vast array of cost estimates ranging from lump sum bids to design build proposals to budgetary cost analysis. Jay also assists the project manager with cost control, procurement, scheduling, and coordination. Prior to AHRS, Jay worked as a project manager for Lithko Contracting, specializing in tilt-up wall construction. Jay managed multiple tilt wall projects including a 750,000 square foot / 256 wall panel Best Buy distribution center.

Alan started his career in the construction industry as a young man working on his family farm, just out of high school. He decided to give construction a try when he was offered the job from a friend. Alan as a superintendent, has successfully supervised numerous projects including schools, a hospital, church, library, hotel, wastewater treatment plant, and an operations facility. With his experience, Alan has gained the desirable organizational and leadership qualities needed to supervise large construction projects, leading to his role as a project manager.  As a project manager, he works on projects with different challenges from renovating occupied buildings, constructing buildings in historic districts and maintaining demanding schedules. Through this experience and a focus on excellent communication and coordination between project team members, Alan is able to deliver quality projects within budget and on time.

Eric began his career in construction while working during the summer season at AHRS for 7 years. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science & Management from Kansas State University, Eric worked for a general contractor in Colorado for 4 years as well as 4 years with a contractor in Kansas City. Eric’s role as a project manager on projects up to $32M as well as various smaller projects, has gained him the knowledge and skills needed to lead any project. Eric is a Accredited Professional and has completed the ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate Program and the LSWP/RRP training. In 2013, Eric also completed the requirements to be an American Hospital Association Certified Healthcare Constructor. Eric coordinates with the Owner, Architect and Subcontractors to manage each project.

Garret has been a part of the construction industry throughout his entire life.  As a very young boy, he grew up with AHRS Construction,  “working” daily with his father – owner Dan Stallbaumer.  Through high school and college, he acquired extensive experience in the mechanics of the construction trade in his years of working in the field at AHRS.  Having earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University in December of 2008, Garret returned to the AHRS team to begin his lifetime career.  Garret has the education, practical experience, and longtime interest to effectively manage commercial and residential construction projects.

Joey originates from Seneca as a graduate of Nemaha Valley High School. Following high school, he attended Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management. Joey worked for a General Contractor in Manhattan for 3 years prior to joining AHRS. We are excited to have Joey back in the community as a part of our team!

Matt has worked as a project manager and estimator graduating in 2004 from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management. Upon graduating college, he worked in the Washington, DC metro area gaining experience in multiple areas of work including educational, government, commercial office, medical office and tenant fit-out. As an estimator, he worked on a wide range of delivery methods including hard bid, negotiated, and design build. As a project manager, he worked on projects with different challenges from renovating occupied buildings, constructing buildings in historic districts and maintaining demanding schedules. Through this experience and a focus on excellent communication and coordination between project team members, Matt is able to deliver quality projects within budget and on time. Matt is also a Accredited Professional.

As office manager for over 41 years, Teresa has played a vital role in the stability and progression of AHRS. Teresa has established many strong relationships within the industry as well as in the community with her leadership in numerous activities. These include volunteering her time and organizing other volunteers to complete a successful project. Through this leadership, she has gained a high level of respect from not only her peers but also the community.

Carol, a University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate, came to AHRS from a local manufacturer where she gained knowledge in project accounting and administration. She understands the challenges of commercial project administration and the roles that the owner, architect, subcontractors, and suppliers should play in every successful project. In her 18 years at AHRS, Carol has built strong relationships with these parties to aid in the administration being both efficient and effective.

Jillisa joined AHRS in September of 2008 and has become a very knowledgeable and valuable member of the team. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Services and Management from Kansas State University. Jillisa began her career working in the financial industry while being employed with a major financial institution in Kansas City. As Payroll Manager, Jillisa is responsible for all aspects of the payroll process including all reporting requirements and employee file maintenance. She also is largely responsible for developing marketing tools.

Brad started working in construction during the summers of high school pouring concrete. After high school he attended Southeast Community College and earned an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Building Construction Technology. Brad started working with AHRS in 2016 as a carpenter. His hard work and construction experience soon promoted him to Assistant Superintendent in 2017, and Superintendent in 2019.

As a veteran U.S. Marine, Jimmie knows the definition of hard work and dedication very well. He had 10 years of construction experience, including cabinetry work with his dad before coming to AHRS. As a superintendent, Jimmie has been a part of many projects including law enforcement centers, schools, assisted living facilities, and renovation projects. He takes pride in his work and his abilities to create a quality end product.

With over 17 years of experience in the construction industry, 7 of them being with AHRS Construction, Inc., Kent has gained much experience in new construction as well as renovation construction. Kent has been the superintendent of renovation projects including office buildings, schools, and residential. He has also supervised new construction projects such as HF Rubber Machinery in Topeka, Kansas. In 2016, Kent served as the superintendent on the Camp Cornhusker Tornado Safe Room and Education Center in DuBois, Nebraska. With his diverse skill set, Kent has a role in many projects for AHRS. He serves as superintendent, carpenter, and finish/clean up superintendent as well as completing warranty work for many of the commercial projects.

Lonny began his career in construction while working for fellow superintendent, Mark Derby in his carpentry business before coming to AHRS. He performed concrete construction as a laborer until stepping into a superintendent role on an assisted living facility project. From that point forward, Lonny has successfully supervised numerous large scale projects including hospitals, history center renovation, college library remodel, wellness center, athletic facilities and law enforcement centers. Lonny has also completed the ASHE Healthcare Construction Certificate Program.

Patrick started working with AHRS in 2009 as a carpenter. His hard work and construction experience promoted him to Assistant Superintendent in 2017, and Superintendent in 2020.
With over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, Patrick has gained much experience in new construction as well as renovation construction. Patrick takes pride in his work, ensuring that it is completed to the best of his ability. He has recently worked on the Brownville Concert Hall Addition, and Pawnee City Cornerstone Community Center. As a superintendent, Patrick manages the daily performance of the project. He works alongside the project managers and the other AHRS staff to ensure the completed project meets or exceeds the expectations of all parties.

As clerical secretary for AHRS, Sherri accepts countless responsibilities to ensure the completion of daily tasks within the company. With her positive attitude, she greets all office visitors with a warm smile and a helping hand. Sherri’s enthusiasm assists in the overall productivity of AHRS Construction, Inc.
