Scope Of Work
Scott + Reid was hired to construct a 71,711-square-foot “medical village” in Plano. The “medical village” concept is a one-stop, comprehensive healthcare facility offering primary care and open access to specialty practices and services.
The project consisted of the complete construction of a two-story, tilt-wall Class A medical office building with covered patient entry. The facility houses over 20 specialties and services including cardiology, dermatology, neurosurgery, optometry, pediatrics, physical therapy, lab services, imaging center and surgery center. The scope also included a complete site work package including utilities, paving, landscape/irrigation, and raising the site 2 feet for improved street visibility. The shell and site were completed in 10 months.
Scott + Reid was also responsible for the interior finish out of seven tenant suites in the building. Interior construction was performed simultaneously with the completion of the building to allow tenants to open for business at the same time the building Certificate of Occupancy was obtained.
After the completion of this facility in September 2014, Scott + Reid was hired to complete McKinney Medical Village, the third village in Collin County. The 80,000-square-foot, two-story medical office building was completed in March 2016.
