Scope Of Work

THE CHALLENGE

AutoStone was tasked with providing the entire floor solution for the dealerships showroom, service drive and shop floor areas necessary to meet the Mercedes-Benz Autohaus facility program. This project initially required three separate phases of construction. It would end up having many more phased construction dates. Additionally, this project reflected marrying an existing concrete slab with a newly poured slab – at a different height. All had to be completed on-time, on-budget and address many on-site challenges that would arise as this project went along. At the end of the construction time period was a pre-scheduled open-house to be attended by the President of Mercedes-Benz, USA and many of the city of Corpus Christi city council and press. There was no margin for error. Every aspect of the job required the highest degree of performance and job execution!

AUTOSTONE’S ANSWER

AutoStone knows more about automotive construction than any floor contractor or material provider. AutoStone only does automotive environment floor systems. AutoStone used its slab expertise to execute the right solution in order to accommodate the varying slab heights that existed between existing and newly poured slabs. AutoStone installed its Autohaus certified compliant floor system in all areas of the dealership. This assured dealership adherence to the Autohaus image program requirements. Upon completion, AutoStone trained the dealership cleaning crews on the proper maintenance and cleaning procedures so the dealership would reflect the appearance the owner and Mercedes-Benz wants to project to their customers. The day prior and even the day of the “grand-opening”, AutoStone crews were on-site to assist the dealership with any cleaning needs required to assure that the floors would be cleaned from the last days of last-minute sub-contractor work associated with getting the dealership completed. Easy to work with, on schedule and on budget – AutoStone proved to be the best solution!

RESULTS FOR DEALERSHIP

AutoStone installed a perfect floor system. No lippage or other unsightly blemishes after installation, even with substrates that were not level when poured. AutoStone team members correctly prepped the un-even slab conditions. AutoStone is not just a finish material. AutoStone delivers on the promise of the right product selected and the right product correctly installed. The AutoStone crews removed paint over-spray, chemical spills and any/all surface debris from the floor just prior to the pre-schedule open-house. AutoStone Enviroshop floors do not accept permanent stains. This was validated by the AutoStone cleaning crew’s assistance in cleaning up the facility prior to the grand-opening. The grand-opening was a success. The dealerships floors were beautiful and perfectly clean. The dealership highlighted AutoStone throughout the facility: showroom, service drive and shop areas. Upon completion the owner realized significant cost savings from using AutoStone. The cost savings, on-time contract completion and high-quality aesthetic facility were accompanied with the AutoStone life-time cleaning/technical support and the seven (7) year warranty. Overall, AutoStone delivered significant measurable savings, on-time construction completion and on-going service and support. To further validate the owner’s satisfaction, he contracted with AutoStone to renovate his Infiniti store! Customers appreciate the value of the AutoStone brand floor system.
