Scope Of Work

This highly complex project involved demolition and the new construction of a fifth floor addition on top of the VA Medical Center, Cooper Drive location, in Lexington, KY. The elevator shaft and stairwell were also extended as part of this project.

This compact job site requires excellent coordination with all subcontractors and hospital facility personnel to ensure the safety and progress of the job. Semper Tek, Inc. erected a crane and precisely scheduled its use with all subcontractors to complete their tasks for the project. Safety and Health Protocol were carefully followed, specifically for dust, noise, and infection controls so as to not interfere with the patient care and daily activity of the hospital. The fifth floorwas finished as executive offices and meeting spaces.
