John P. Nelson Associates

Established for over 30 years, John P. Nelson Associates is an architecture and planning firm with a history of innovative design in a wide ranging practice. JPNA has established a reputation for providing consistently excellent service. Past projects include a variety of commercial, office, medical, religious, civic and industrial facilities.

JPNA also has experience with many specialized building types including restaurants, medical manufacturing facilities, veterinary hospitals and high end residential projects to name a few. We enjoy a creative challenge and have appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with our clients on a variety of “one-of-a-kind” projects over the years.

Design

JPNA has been able to deliver a consistently high level of design for our clients on projects of all sizes. Design drawings and illustrations are prepared on each project to clearly communicate proposed design ideas. Revisions are made until the client is satisfied with the proposed design for their project; and this close involvement by the client continues through the working drawing phase and into the construction phase.

As a firm JPNA does not promote a particular “office style;” instead, each project is shaped by the needs and requirements of the client and by specific factors including site features, views, energy concerns, sun orientation, context and budget to name a few . The wide variety of successful design solutions and innovative buildings created for our clients over the years will bear this out.

Communication

JPNA places a high priority on close communication with our clients. We meet frequently with each client as their project progresses, so that the client is actively involved in the design process and the decisions that are made.

Over the years this emphasis on close communication has been an important factor in the success of our projects, and we continue to enjoy working with a high percentage of repeat clients and appreciate the frequent referrals that result.
