WHO WE ARE

At Cline Design, we are dedicated to creating a better community through the integration of architecture, planning, landscape architecture and interior design. We recognize that our success is not only dependent upon great design, but also the positive experience a client gains from working with us. It is our belief that through the integration of services we can more effectively discover, generate, and implement design solutions that celebrate the uniqueness of each site.

Our philosophy is grounded in providing practical, economically viable and environmentally responsible design. Through collaboration with our clients, we create diverse, interactive, high quality environments; places that encourage people to interact, and build a sense of community.

EXPERTISE

Our team has designed hundreds of multi-family, mixed use, retail and hospitality projects throughout the southeast and beyond. Our Land Planning studio has worked with multiple municipalities and code officials to determine the best site design, sub-division layout, zoning possibilities, and rezoning opportunities to determine what is best for the client and the community. Many of our projects have won design awards for their innovation and contribution to the local community.

SUSTAINABILITY

As design professionals, we feel it is our responsibility to practice environmentally responsible design. At the core of our belief system is our passion for making places that improve the quality of life. We are committed to incorporating sustainable design strategies into all of our projects. It is woven into our Standard Design Practices. Our clients often do not have the advantage of long-term, cost benefit justifications for design elements. It is critical that we take a highly integrated approach involving all disciplines, clients and user groups from the start of the design process to capitalize on the synergies of each project’s systems. We consider options such as: building orientation, massing, opportunities for daylighting and energy
The firm has completed millions of square feet of medical office, professional office, retail space, hospitality and recreational facilities. We are familiar with various project types, and we work with our clients to produce appropriate design solutions to the specified project type.

VISIONING PROCESS

At Cline Design visually imagining a place is an essential part of the design process and is recorded in the form of sketches and computer models. We call it the Visioning Process. We have planners that are knowledgeable of architectural requirements and architects that are knowledgeable about planning requirements. Together they are constantly imagining the places and buildings. We visualize the place in 3-D, sketch and play with these 3-D ideas until we have a two- dimensional Master Plan. Once the framework of the plan has taken shape, the real 3-D tools can be applied.

APPROACH

We have adopted a multi-disciplined approach that is central to our practice. Our clients enjoy an added value through the integration of planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design. The coordination between design specialties allows for seamless service in the various aspects of a project. We have found that this ultimately leads to projects moving more quickly and smoothly, thus improving the client’s experience and the success of the project. Collaboration Cooperative, creative relationships–with each other and with our clients are important to us. We make a conscious effort to promote a friendly, collaborative working environment where everyone is respected and a part of the team. It’s the same way with clients. It’s our job, in collaboration, to help our clients achieve their goals.
