Our Story

RDL Construction, Inc. was founded by Rick Leisinger, President and CEO, back in the late 1980’s as the need to develop more adaptive solutions for owners and facilities managers was evident; and project demands for special space was more prevalent than ever. The projects varied and ranged from data centers, clean room environments, to wet / dry engineering labs, as well as class A & B office space. The requirements for this type of office space became even more prevalent during the early 2000’s with the advent of the internet.

Throughout the history of RDL Construction Inc., most projects ranged in size from $50,000.00 small tenant improvements, to large build outs of manufacturing space. One of the company’s highest priorities that was never ignored, was that of completing these projects on time within budget, to the highest standard of quality. This was accomplished by having principal involvement on each and every project. RDL never grew away from these principles and still delivers projects today in the same manner.

During the past twenty-five years we have completed major renovations of existing buildings, public facilities, constructed free standing buildings, completed complex interior work for hospitals, electronic firms, financial institutions, and professional firms of all types. Some of these include companies and institutions founded here in the bay area such as IBM, Intel, AMD, National Semiconductor, Lockeed Martin, San Jose State, and many more.

RDL Construction’s business philosophy is one of open book, teamwork, and providing a collaborative approach to construction, involving the owner-contractor-architect to control project scope, costs, and schedules. Through this process we have been very successful in meeting or exceeding project expectations on many levels. It is our goal and desire to accomplish the following objectives on all of our projects:
