Adam Borgatti's Bio
Adam Borgatti is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations, responsible for leading Aecon’s Investor Relations, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communications and Marketing functions, as well as supporting the leadership team with developing long-term business plans, evaluating strategic initiatives, and leading the assessment and execution of Aecon’s acquisition opportunities. Mr. Borgatti brings a depth of experience and knowledge of both capital markets and the construction industry.
Prior to joining Aecon in 2009, Mr. Borgatti held leadership roles in the financial industry, including Vice President, RBC Capital Markets, and Vice President, National Bank Financial. Before assuming his current position at Aecon – in 2017-18, he served as Vice President, Investor Relations, at Scotiabank and was responsible for leading all aspects of investor relations, providing strategic direction, leadership and oversight for the company’s investor relations portfolio globally.
Over his career at Aecon, Mr. Borgatti has held leadership roles in the Energy and Infrastructure segments, Strategic Finance division, and previously served as Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations. Mr. Borgatti holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from McGill University as well as CFA and CPIR designations. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) and serves as Audit Committee Chair.
David Smales's Bio
David Smales has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Aecon since November 2009. He oversees all Corporate and Operational Finance activities, Information Services, Communications and Corporate Affairs, Data and Analytics and Capital Markets activities.
Prior to joining Aecon, David was the Chief Financial Officer of Catalyst Paper Corporation and prior to that held a number of senior financial positions at Novar plc in the UK focused on international operations. His career also includes roles in general management, strategy, and Mergers & Acquisitions, both in industry and during 10 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
David is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has a BA (Honours) degree from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in England.

Eitan Ladizinsky's Bio
Eitan Ladizinsky is Senior Vice President, Concessions, where he heads Aecon’s P3 development and finance origination activities in Canada and abroad. Mr. Ladizinsky has over 19 years of North American and international transportation and rail project experience. He leads efforts in structuring and negotiating financing, working with consortium partners, debt capital markets and sponsors on the projects Aecon pursues. Prior to joining Aecon, he held several advisory roles in the Israel and U.S. infrastructure markets, and on P3 projects.
Mr. Ladizinsky was instrumental in negotiating committed project financing across 30 project pursuits from various financial institutions and in closing landmark projects such as the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, Finch West LRT, Waterloo LRT, Gordie Howe International Bridge and the Bermuda International Airport.
Mr. Ladizinsky is a Columbia Business School graduate.
Eric MacDonald's Bio
Eric MacDonald is Executive Vice President, Utilities, responsible for the continued growth and success of Aecon’s Utilities business.
With Aecon since 1995, Mr. MacDonald has held a variety of progressively senior level positions within Utilities and brings in-depth knowledge of the construction industry as well as proven abilities to lead teams towards successful execution and progressive results. Prior to joining Aecon, Eric owned and operated a directional drilling company servicing telecommunications, water and natural gas industries.
Jerome Clavel's Bio
Jerome Clavel is Senior Vice President, Nuclear, responsible for leading Aecon’s nuclear sector with a focus on strengthening operational performance while building strong customer-focused relationships and further establishing Aecon as the partner-of-choice for nuclear infrastructure projects in North America.
Mr. Clavel brings global experience leading a diverse range of businesses and driving the continuous improvement of culture, process and delivery. Prior to joining Aecon, Mr. Clavel began his career at Vinci, spearheading international civil projects, while leading various business lines. He has also served in leadership positions in the technology and industrial industries across a wide range of portfolios including innovation, product development, marketing and strategy.
Mr. Clavel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated as a Civil Engineer from the Ecole Centrale Paris Graduate Engineering School in France.

John Almeida's Bio
John Almeida is Senior Vice President, Aecon Transportation East, responsible for Aecon Construction and Materials Limited (ACML), Karson, Aecon Materials Engineering (AME) and Yellowline Asphalt Products Ltd. Mr. Almeida brings over 30 years of experience in the civil construction industry and over 19 years of experience in the supervision and management of civil structure projects.
Mr. Almeida is a highly experienced value engineering practitioner with demonstrated experience in complex foundation work, formwork innovation and concrete construction quality advancements. In 1998, he was instrumental in introducing a new concrete pour procedure that has now been adopted by the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario.
Mr. Almeida holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto.
John Singleton's Bio
John Singleton is Senior Vice President, Industrial East and West, leading Aecon’s Industrial operations in Eastern and Western Canada. With more than 25 years of Construction and Mining project and operations experience, Mr. Singleton joined Aecon’s Ontario business in 2004 and is based in Edmonton, Alberta, having relocated to the city in 2006 to start a western-based civil business for Aecon. Mr. Singleton is a professional engineer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
John M. Beck's Bio
John M. Beck is Founder and Chairman of Aecon Group Inc. A graduate in Civil Engineering from McGill University, Mr. Beck has more than 50 years of experience in the construction industry in Canada and internationally. His background includes corporate leadership in numerous construction activities including heavy civil projects and public-private partnerships for the development of infrastructure, such as airports, toll roads and transit systems.
Mr. Beck is currently a member of the Board of the Royal Conservatory of Music, and has been Co-Chair of the Infrastructure & Urban Development Industries at the World Economic Forum. He is a member of the Advisory Council for the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary and also a member of the Business Council of Canada. He was previously a member of the Board of the Ontario Financing Authority, as well as Chairman of the Board of the Ontario Power Authority, a government agency with responsibility for planning and procuring all of the province’s power needs for the next 20 years. Mr. Beck received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 Award in the Manufacturing and Construction category for Ontario and the 2018 Par Excellence in Business Award from the French Canada Chamber of Commerce – Ontario. He also received the LiUNA Builder’s Award at the 2018 Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAA) and was named P3 Champion of the Year by the Canadian Council of Public Private Partnerships in 2013. In recognition of his distinguished achievements and career-long service to the engineering profession, Mr. Beck was inducted as a Fellow into the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

Manuel Rivaya's Bio
Manuel Rivaya is Senior Vice President, Urban Transportation Solutions. He is responsible for leading Aecon’s centre of excellence for the overall delivery of integrated urban transportation solutions. Mr. Rivaya has over 20 years of experience in civil engineering and construction management in Canada and internationally. Prior to joining Aecon, over a span of nine years at Dragados Canada, he served as Executive Vice President before becoming Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he held progressively senior roles at Dragados S.A. in Spain, including Civil Works District Manager in Cataluña, with responsibility for civil works in the region.
Mr. Rivaya is a member of the Spanish Association of Civil Engineers and is a past Board Member of MRDC Corporation in New Brunswick. He holds a Master of Civil Engineering degree with a specialty in Hydraulic and Energetic Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
Mark Scherer's Bio
Mark Scherer is Executive Vice President, Chief Safety Officer, where he has overall executive responsibility for Aecon’s Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Indigenous Relations activities across Aecon.
Mr. Scherer has over 30 years of experience ranging from the front line, through lower, middle, and upper management and has been integral in evolving Aecon’s world-class safety performance and culture over the years. His in-depth knowledge of the industry, outstanding people skills and experience at all levels of infrastructure development have elevated him into a sound executive leader at Aecon.
Mr. Scherer is also former President of the Pipe Line Contractor Association of Canada (PLCAC).

Mark Rivett's Bio
Mark Rivett joined Aecon as Senior Vice President of Aecon Construction and Materials Limited in 2009, bringing with him 27 years of construction, engineering and materials experience. He has executive responsibility for Aecon’s Transportation activities including Aecon Construction and Materials Limited, Miwel Construction; Southrock, ACMI and Aecon Materials Engineering.
He has been involved in the road building and related materials industry since 1982, holding increasing levels of responsibility in operations, estimating and management for a large public construction company.
Mr. Rivett graduated as a professional engineer from The University of Waterloo in 1982 and holds a Masters in Business Administration from McMaster University. He previously served as President of both the Ontario Road Builders Association and Ontario Hot Mix Producers Association. He was a board member for CCPAT at the University of Waterloo.
Marty Harris's Bio
Marty Harris is Senior Vice President and Executive Lead, Civil East. He has executive oversight for Aecon's Transportation East group of companies, Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., Aecon Heavy Civil and Aecon Buildings. Over the span of his 20-year career, Mr. Harris has held numerous positions with increased responsibility in highway and heavy civil construction including quality control, engineering and project management prior to moving into estimating, general management and executive management.
Mr. Harris received his Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario in 1996, and is a licensed engineer in Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. He is also a previous Board member of the Nova Scotia Road Builders.
Michael Derksen's Bio
Michael Derksen is Senior Vice President and Executive Lead, Civil West, responsible for providing executive oversight for the Civil West group of businesses. He joined Aecon in 2014.
Mr. Derksen has over 30 years of extensive experience working on large-scale transportation and transit projects, and has spent his entire career managing and executing Public-Private Partnership, design-build, and traditional bid-build projects both in Canada and the United States.
Prior to joining Aecon, Mr. Derksen worked for Granite Construction Company, one of the largest construction and materials companies in the United States. During his 26-year career at Granite, Mr. Derksen held positions of increasing levels of responsibility in operations and management.
Mr. Derksen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary.

Steve Nackan's Bio
Steven N. Nackan is Executive Vice President and President, Aecon Concessions. He is responsible for Aecon’s infrastructure development and concession management activities.
Prior to joining Aecon in 2002, Mr. Nackan worked for the global law firm of White & Case LLP, advising government agencies, banks and industry in the development, implementation and financing of major international infrastructure projects. Mr. Nackan studied in Boston where he gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brandeis University and a Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School.
Thomas Clochard's Bio
Thomas Clochard is Executive Vice President, Civil and Nuclear, responsible for leading Aecon’s civil and nuclear groups with a focus on driving improved project performance while building strong client-focused relationships and exploring opportunities for the future growth.
Mr. Clochard brings global experience in major project management, leading and restructuring businesses, civil works design, engineering and construction, project controls, contracts and claims management.
Prior to joining Aecon, Mr. Clochard held leadership roles at Eiffage Canada, including Director of Operations, and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer where he was responsible for defining and implementing a long-term Canadian strategy including the diversification and growth trajectory of the organization. Mr. Clochard also held progressively senior roles at Vinci, beginning as Design-Build Project Engineer/Section Manager in France, before becoming Bid Director in the United Kingdom, followed by Deputy Project Manager for a major multi-purpose sports complex project in Russia and Contracts and Project Controls Manager for an Infrastructure P3 project in the United States.
Mr. Clochard holds a Masters of Engineering degree from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in France and holds three other Masters degrees in Physics and Applied Mathematics, Microeconomics and International Relations. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Nuclear Association.

Yonni Fushman's Bio
Yonni Fushman is Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Chief Sustainability Officer and Corporate Secretary. He holds executive responsibility for managing a broad portfolio for the Aecon group of companies, including legal, corporate secretarial, sustainability, ethics and compliance, insurance and bonding, privacy and strategic procurement. Prior to joining Aecon in 2005, Mr. Fushman practiced law in the United States. Mr. Fushman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Economics from the University of Southern California in 1997 and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 2001. He completed the Duke University Continuing Studies Certificate in Sustainable Management and is a Sustainability Accounting Standards Board FSA credential-holder. He is called to the bar in Ontario, California and Massachusetts.
Mr. Fushman is a Past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Construction and Infrastructure Law section.

Blair Brandon's Bio
Blair Brandon is Senior Vice President, Major Projects, Civil West, and is responsible for leading the successful pursuit and execution of major projects in western Canada and the Pacific region, as well as oversight for existing major projects in the west.
Mr. Brandon brings over 35 years of experience in the construction industry to Aecon, including extensive success in the Public-Private Partnership (P3) market. Prior to joining Aecon in 2015, he held various leadership roles with organizations such as Matthews Group Ltd., Sureway Construction and PCL Constructors Northern. Mr. Brandon also spent a number of years working in the United States, managing major design build projects for Flatiron, prior to successfully leading Flatiron’s Canadian Operations, based in Vancouver, B.C.
Mr. Brandon is a graduate of Fanshawe College, with a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology.

Mathew Kattapuram's Bio
Mathew Kattapuram is Senior Vice President, Strategic Business Development, with oversight of the Strategic Business Development group at Aecon.
Prior to joining Aecon, Mr. Kattapuram was with Infrastructure Ontario as Senior Vice President, Civil Infrastructure, and was responsible for the delivery of Public-Private Partnership projects. During his tenure at Infrastructure Ontario, he was responsible for building the civil and transit delivery teams and the successful procurement of the Herb Gray Parkway and the Highway 407 East, both DBFM projects, as well as the Union Pearson Express project.
With over 35 years of construction and management experience, Mr. Kattapuram has worked for leading construction firms across Canada including Carillion.
Mr. Kattapuram received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary and completed an executive management program at Aston University, Birmingham, UK.
Finance & Accounting
Alistair MacCallum's Bio
Alistair MacCallum is Senior Vice President, Finance, and is responsible for operational finance, corporate finance and shared services, including the treasury, tax, internal audit, consolidated internal and external reporting, consolidated planning and forecasting functions, as well as related process improvements, team development and change management.
Mr. MacCallum comes to Aecon with 20 years of finance and management experience, specializing in heavy industry. For the past 10 years, Alistair has worked with Catalyst Paper, a publicly traded pulp and paper company located in Vancouver, B.C. Most recently, Alistair held the position of Vice President, Treasurer and Controller. Prior to joining Catalyst Paper, he worked as a strategy and process improvement consultant for IBM/PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He is a Certified General Accountant and received his Bachelor of Arts, History degree from the University of British Columbia and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.

Gordana Terkalas's Bio
Gordana Terkalas is Senior Vice President, Human Resources, leading people initiatives at Aecon, including the corporation’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, is a member of the Ethics & Compliance Committee, and leads the Organizational Change Management Community of Practice.
Ms. Terkalas is a versatile HR leader, who has grown her career in fast-paced, entrepreneurial organizations calling for significant agility and progressive thinking.
Ms. Terkalas has practiced HR in various industries including consulting engineering, technology and healthcare. Throughout her career, she has garnered extensive experience in both operations and corporate services across all facets of the HR function – from organization design, talent acquisition and total rewards to employee development, talent and succession management.
