Our Story

Taylor Electric specializes in commercial electrical planning, installation and trouble shooting. As well as new construction and remodels.

Taylor Electric has been servicing Santa Barbara and the surrounding area since 2006.  We conduct ourselves with integrity, looking out for the best interests of our customers, delivering superior performance.  We promise to perform our tasks efficiently and that we will maintain a personal, accessible relationship with every client.

We specialize in commercial and residential electric planning, installation, and troubleshooting.  Our jobs have consisted of new construction, remodels, installing new lighting systems, electrical outlets, panel upgrades, and main switch gear.

Owner Mark Taylor has been in the trade since he was 16 and has lived in Santa Barbara for 30 years.  He worked for Keith Stein and Cottage Hospital for five years.  On the path to starting his own business, he learned much from his mentor Stan Larsen.  During his 15 year tenure with Stan, he started from the ground up while learning to become a professional contractor.  During this time he honed his work ethic, learned how to work with the public, to always be honest with the customer, and to make sure the job is perfect.  One important concept that Mark learned through the years is there are no problems that he can’t find a solution for.

Many of the experienced electricians (journeymen and apprentices) have worked with Taylor for over five years.
