Hamilton Benchmark began as a Firestop Distribution Company in 1999.  We quickly built a strong reputation as a leading expert in the Firestop industry.  This led to multiple requests from the contracting industry to install firestop systems and Hamilton Benchmark became the first Firestop Contractor to emerge in the Wisconsin Market. 

We did one thing, we did it right and we did it better than anyone else!  As we grew in the Firestop market opportunities emerged to provide fireproofing for structural steel.  As a result Hamilton Benchmark, Inc. now has the capability to perform, board, cementation, spray fiber and intumescent fireproofing. 

Firestopping of rated Expansion Joint systems also provided opportunity to diversify into the installation of all specialty expansion joint systems and since Manufacturers of expansion joint technologies also manufactured Wall Protection Systems we found ourselves engaged in the installation of wall protection as well. Wall protection requires a degree of finish caulk and firestop is predominately caulking and as a result we have successfully pursued interior finish caulk and exterior weatherization caulking.  The addition of waterproofing, Air Barrier and Building insulation has provided an evolution for Hamilton Benchmark, Inc. has a Division 7 specialty contractor.
