Scope Of Work

The new Blanchette Elementary School consists of 85,593 square feet accommodating specific program needs. The BISD school design is based on the new 550-Prototypical School Design Standard Plan. The new building is steel framed with a masonry exterior wall, finished interior CMU block corridor walls, drywall partitions, terrazzo floors on the primary and secondary corridors, and VCT in the classrooms. The new building includes an administrative wing with a conference hall, a cafeteria with terrazzo finished floors, pod system classrooms with state of the art IT including a speech, art, music and computer lab, all with new furnishings. The existing gymnasium was incorporated into the new school's design.  The site development for the new Blanchette Elementary School includes utility connections, 168 vehicle parking spaces, a bus drop-off, and other site improvements required for adequate drainage and traffic ingress/egress control.
