S.C.O.D. Services

Born in 2008, Stained Concrete of Dallas started out chiefly as a polished concrete flooring company. However, after years of taking risks and bringing in the right employees, we have grown into what we are today, SCOD Construction Services. We still hold to our roots in order to continue to produce great work and optimize productivity in the field of decorative and polished concrete, but we have expanded into many other areas of construction (listed in our services page). Here at SCOD, we pride ourselves in having the ability to satisfy a vast majority of needs that our employers have by offering an all-in-one type of shop, "From framing to flooring.." we like to say. We are not your typical subcontractor. In any industry, there's believed to be this tug and pull type of tradeoff between Specialization and Adaptability. Should a company specialize in one thing and not be able to assist in anything other than that niche? Or should a company be able to adapt and cater to the many needs that follow? Luckily, we've been on both sides of the coin. We started out heavily specialized and got really good at the one thing we did. We built our network, had great clients, found reliable crews, streamlined our processes, yet a gap remained. We were not satisfied, we realized that the comfort of staying in one lane is enjoyable, but we wanted to challenge ourselves. In 2011, we decided to change our DBA from Stained Concrete of Dallas to SCOD Construction Services and haven't look back since. We joined the Blue Book network to give ourselves the best chance to continue our upward trajectory and meet other construction professionals looking to do the same.
