Our Story

Standard Electrical Service's owner, Dave Brakeen, began as an electrician around 20 years ago. His training came through well-respected electricians which gave him a solid foundation. He then went on to acquire the certifications and licenses to become a Master Electrician.

Through the years, Dave took notice to some of the ways in which electrical companies did business; some good, some not so good. At the time he decided he was ready to begin his own business, he knew what to bring to the table: old-fashioned business ethics, quality electrical work with quality products, and most importantly, working to build good relationships with his clients.

Standard Electrical Service has been contracting top-quality electrical service in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex for several years now. The owner, providing Master-Electrician-certified work, believes in maintaining this type of professional service when owning a business. Going the extra mile to obtain the highest certification as an electritian is the type of mindset that Standard Electrical Service aims to achieve: going the extra mile in all that they do.

Mission Statement

Building meaningful relationships with our clients is our primary objective. We feel these types of achieved relationships hold all the necessary elements that cultivate high-standard service.

We envision such qualities as providing high-standard work, the best materials, open, clear, and forthright communication, and establishing work completion upon our customer's satisfaction. Our overall aim is towards keeping long-term relationships rather than high-volume business. Standard Electrical Service structures its business on principled values along with old-fashioned work ethics that sums up to simply doing what is right.
