Scope Of Work
Like many churches, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, was looking for ways to save money, show their stewardship of the earth and environmental leadership to the community.
After reviewing a variety of system alternatives and payment options, St. Peter’s chose Powell Energy and Solar for their project. They installed 50,000 watts of solar panels on three roof areas. Two are flat and can’t be seen from the ground. The third is on the main sanctuary. The innovative design allowed us to add the cut-out cross on the main roof and still get the panels on the roof. It certainly attracts a fair amount of attention.
The construction project went smoothly and efficiently, with no disruption to the ongoing church activities. The members and pastor are pleased with the results. They are saving money, which is an important aspect of the project, and is a beacon to the community.
