Scope Of Work
This 200,579-square-foot signature teaching and research facility is the first building of Florida Polytechnic University focused on enhancing a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) educated workforce. With the international design of Santiago Calatrava through an association with Alfonso Architects, RS&H provided laboratory programming and design services for this state-of-the-art facility.
The teaching and research laboratories host include subjects like biology, chemistry, physics, robotics, information technology, and wet and dry engineering.
Integrating with the strict rhythm of the building’s structure, the laboratories utilize a hybrid of fixed and movable work stations to provide adaptability in teaching and research methods. Each room is equipped with flat screen monitors and interactive IT capabilities.
