Alejandro Messing's Bio
Alejandro has over 10 years of experience in real estate, construction, development, finance, and lending. He is the CEO and Co-founder of Habitat Construction Company. He is also a managing partner of a variety of companies that own and manage rental properties since 2006. He has been a financial contractor and board member for several companies in the U.S. and offshore. Alejandro holds a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Conrad N. Hilton College at the University of Houston and an Executive degree in Finance. He also holds several seminars and executive programs specializing in Options Volatility and Pricing, Technical Analysis for the Financial Markets, Financial Hedging and Marketing. At Habitat, Alex is in charge of the overall executive decisions with a key emphasis in land acquisitions, debt and equity structuring, cost accounting and finance.
Uri Ghelman's Bio
Uri has been working on design and construction since 1994. He is the COO and Co-founder of Habitat Construction Company. He started his professional career as a small partner of a nationwide General Contractor in Venezuela. Moved to Houston in the year 2000 to manage an international stucco/specialty finish company. Then, worked for a recognized production homebuilder before Habitat Construction was created. As a managing partner of Habitat Construction, he oversees the design process from the conceptual stage up to permitting. Supervises and coordinates the construction team.

Karen Sierra's Bio
Karen Sierra was born and raised in Honduras. She studied 2 years Interior Design in Mexico and made her undergraduate degree in Business Administration. She joined Habitat Construction's Team in 2013 as our Purchasing Manager and Interior Designer. She guides our homebuyers through the selection process. Assists them with the custom features of the home including cabinets, countertops, lighting and plumbing fixtures, and paint colors. Karen Also serves as a liaison between clients’ requests and our Project Managers. Karen has over 5 years experience in the construction business and she enjoys her one on one time with the homebuyers to help them build the house of their dreams.
Leo DeForest's Bio
Leo DeForest was born and raised in South Texas. He moved to Houston in 1991 to attend the University of Houston and immediately fell in love with the city and its landscape. He discovered a passion for home building and now has 15 years of experience in the building industry. As a project manager he oversaw construction on a variety of projects including: production homes, custom homes, and commercial projects before moving into our purchasing department. As Purchasing Manager he utilizes his experience to ensure both the quality and cost effectiveness of all construction. He is committed to get maximum value for our clients on every hour of labor and each piece of material that goes into our projects. He understands that one of our core missions at Habitat Construction is to deliver the most incredible results in the final product at the lowest possible cost.

Alejandro Marin's Bio
Alejandro Marin born in Santiago, Chile. Moved to US in 1994 and started in construction as a self-employed in Miami, Florida 1995. Moved to Puerto Rico in 2001 and worked for a residential builder for 7 years, as a foreman/project manager. As a foreman he organized and coordinate building projects from started to finish. He was responsible for customer service aspects and supervised carpentry, plumbing and electrical work. Alejandro came to Houston, Texas in 2008 and started working with Habitat construction. He is a project manager and his responsible to direct personnel to their jobs in order to complete projects on time.
Jim DeForest's Bio
Jim has worked for Habitat Construction since August 2013. He is currently a Project manager. Prior to joining Habitat Jim owned a succession of three companies. He has thirty years’ experience in the management of people and materials. Jim utilizes these skills and experience to coordinate and schedule people resources with materials to bring projects to fruition in the shortest time allowed by quality control. He has a bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M University and is a Veteran of the USAFSS.
Michael Gularte's Bio
Michael Gularte grew up in San Antonio TX surrounded by construction. With the strong influence of the very fast growing market he was able to start his first company at the age of 16. Running a custom fence and iron works company he developed skills in managing as well as building a strong construction foundation. After moving to Houston in 2008 he further developed his managerial skills while being a general manager for a restaurant group in the Houston heights area. After getting a positions as a project manager for a flooring and granite company he started taking classes for building from the GHBA (Greater Houston Builder Association. ) Some of these classes include: - Electrical Systems, HVAC Systems, Framing and Exterior Finishes, Plumbing Systems, Foundations, and Building Envelope. Ned Alatin's Bio
Ned has over 10 years experience in real estate and construction management. Ned holds a BAs degree in Business and Marketing from Monmouth University and has over 60 academic hours in Design and real estate studies. He has been acting in leading roles such as CEO and CFO in large asset management and construction companies in the past 7 years. Ned is the manager of the commercial division in Habitat Construction. Variable project has been performed under his management from ground up large scale commercial buildings to detailed retail space build outs. He has also specialized in many civil work projects with complex drainage systems. Ned is fluent in 4 languages and is great in personal relations with customers and clients.

Priscila Estrada's Bio
Priscila studied Human Resources Management. She joined Habitat Construction in 2013. Her main roles in the company are Assistant Manager and Bookkeeping. Her attention to detail and organizational skills make the perfect combination for her performance as Alejandro’s right hand in the Company.
