After just a few short years the caulking would fail around the replacement windows and water would intrude into the building structure creating rot and mold problems that led to expensive repairs. In 2004 2FL started developing and testing a new product and installation method that would solve this problem forever. In 2010 2FL brought this product to market and since that time 2FL has installed 1000's of replacement windows without a single failure. 2FL has now patented the Rain Jacket flashing System. This system will be presented to FMA (Fenestration Manufacturers Association) and will be considered for adoption to code when installing fin-less replacement windows.
