Our Story
Horizon Roofing and Sheet Metal was founded in 1976 by Dan Scepaniak. The two partner's mission was to serve the roofing industry with highly-qualified, uncompromising workmanship and service.
At the early age of 10, Kurt Scepaniak started sweeping floors and by the age of 12, was working summers with the roofing crews. Eventually he became lead foreman for each of the roofing, sheet metal, and service divisions. In 2000 Kurt Scepaniak assumed the position of President when Dan retired.
Horizon has taken service excellence and industry leadership to a new level of. Through dedication, integrity and the embracing of new technologies and building practices, Horizon has experienced exceptional growth. To date Horizon has invested 11 years and over 27,000 programming hours in our technologies we use with our customers and have been told we have the best reporting system in the nation.
Since 2000, Horizon has grown from 2 million in business to an estimated 20 million in business 2017 with two offices in the Minnesota and we are only getting started.
