Scope Of Work
This project was another of Congleton-Hacker’s multi-faceted expansion of Baptist Health Lexington’s Nicholasville Road campus. The centerpiece is an eight-story, 240,000 square-foot building that houses the Heart Institute, out-patient s and medical offices. The building grew from three stories with 60,000 square feet to six stories with 120,000 to its existing eight-story design.
The North Parking Structure also evolved from four decks to 12 decks to its final 14 decks and 294,000 square feet. In addition, a radiation oncology addition and obstetrics/gynecology addition and were completed. s also were accomplished for the ancillary s and physicians lounge. Paving, landscaping and site development were completed on 21 acres.
Because the project’s impact on existing hospital s was so significant, scheduling and phasing were of maximum importance to avoid disruption of patient care.
Firm Role: As construction manager, Congleton-Hacker provided preconstruction phase s and served as the general trades contractor.
