Ruppert Landscape

Bob oversees the landscape construction division of the company. His responsibilities include planning and budgeting, new branch development, personnel development, quality control and customer relations. He has been with Ruppert for 22 years, has over 35 years of industry experience and is a Certified Professional Horticulturist. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Key Executive Program and served as chairman of Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington.

As the company’s founder and chief executive, Craig has been instrumental in developing the company’s mission, culture, and values. His experience and involvement with outside board memberships in other industries have allowed him to bring innovative ideas and management approaches to Ruppert Landscape. Craig’s current responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, and personnel development. He has been with Ruppert since its inception in 1976.

Phil’s primary focus is to make sure that the company’s visions and values are integrated into its daily operation. He does this by working closely with the management team on its planning, personnel development, and systems control processes. Phil has been working for the Ruppert organization for over 21 years and has over 30 years in the industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Western Maryland (now McDaniel) College and recently graduated from Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) program.

Tom oversees all aspects of the landscape management division, from business development to day-to-day operations. He has been with Ruppert for over four years and has over 10 years of finance, real estate, and property management experience. He holds a master of business administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from American University in Washington, DC, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Amy’s expertise is in public relations, employee relations, media relations, special events, and marketing. She works to expand the company’s visibility, raise brand awareness and grow employee well-being. Amy has a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in professional writing from Towson University. She has been with the Ruppert organization for over 17 years and has 20 years of experience in the marketing/communications field.

Cari spearheads the company’s recruiting efforts towards attracting, developing, and retaining talented individuals. She has over 20 years of experience in talent acquisition and management and holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from the University of Maryland College Park.

Dan is responsible for the management and development of our IT department, acting as the key liaison between the IT department and the business. In that role, he assists with communicating strategy, employee needs, project ROI’s, hardware/software needs, outsourcing opportunities, and budgets. He has been with Ruppert for over four years and has over 20 years of IT experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from Loyola University.

Dave’s primary responsibility is promoting and communicating a culture of safety that is the foundation of the Ruppert organization. He leads the company’s safety and risk management program, working hand-in-hand with safety committee members in every branch and ensuring a focus on safety in all areas of the company. He has been with Ruppert for over 10 years and has over 38 years of experience in the green industry in both safety and operations management.

Emil oversees the software development team and manages the creation, delivery, and support of software projects. He has over 20 years of combined IT experience and holds a bachelor’s degree from Cairo University, a master’s degree in computer science from Loyola University, and is currently studying to obtain a doctoral degree in information technology (D.Sc.) at Towson University. In addition, he holds two degrees in computer programming and networking and is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer and Applications Developer (MCSD/MCAD).

As a leader of the landscape management division overseeing the southern region, including branches in Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia, Fred helps provide strategic vision and operational insight, acting as a resource for branch managers in the areas of people development, training, customer service, and profitability. He has been with Ruppert for 17 years and has over 27 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Salisbury State University and is a Certified Landscape Professional.

Greg oversees the purchase and maintenance of the company’s fleet and equipment and is responsible for the development and maintenance of all Ruppert Landscape facilities. He joined the company in 2016 and has over 19 years of management experience ranging from operations to logistics, including transportation, warehouse and distribution management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from Radford University.

As vice president of human resources, Jay works closely with managers to provide them with the tools and assistance they need to train and develop their employees and to coordinate their recruiting efforts. He has been with the Ruppert organization for over 18 years and has over 30 years of experience in the contracting industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from The George Washington University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Ken is responsible for encouraging innovation and improvements in several areas including efficiency, compensation, project planning, training, mentorship and quality control. He has over 35 years of experience (32 with the Ruppert organization) in landscape construction and landscape management and is a Certified Professional Horticulturist.

As director of pre-construction services and estimating, Mike is responsible for providing reliable estimating and pre-construction services for projects that are in-process or are in the planning stages. In addition to serving the needs of the company’s customers, he is responsible for training new and existing estimators, helping to establish company-wide standards, and reviewing the estimates on large specialty projects. He has been with the Ruppert organization for over 23 years.

Mike is responsible for planning and directing administrative, financial and operational activities, assisting the company president in managing corporate departments and their initiatives, executing the five-year plan, prioritizing inquiries and determining the proper course of action, and providing operational support in areas such as sales, collections, and acquisitions as needed. He has been with the Ruppert organization for over eight years, is a U.S. Army veteran and holds a bachelor of arts degree in business management from Virginia Tech.

Patrick is responsible for overseeing the management of the Atlanta, Georgia and Houston, Texas landscape construction branches and building the Ruppert brand in these markets. He has been with the Ruppert organization for over 18 years and has over 30 years of industry experience. He holds a general contractors license from the state of Georgia.
