Scope Of Work

The cities of Bryan and College Station, alongside Texas A&M University and The Research Valley Partnership, are pursuing a bold initiative to convert 1,400 acres of university and private land on the west side of the A&M campus into a thriving research bio-corridor.

The master-planned development that links Bryan and College Station is a 200-acre, mixed-use community, conveniently  near Texas A&M University and Easterwood Airport, that was developed to attract world-class companies and top research talent to the . Vaughn was selected for the construction of two key projects in the development.

Designed by FAB Studio, the Stella Hotel is the first independent full-service hotel in the . The four-star facility features 176 guest rooms and suites from 290 to 511 SF that provide luxury amenities, spa-like bathrooms with walk in showers, and stunning views overlooking Lake Atlas or College Station. The 20,000 SF of meeting and event space offers flexible function rooms, audio visual capabilities, and catering support. The meeting spaces are designed to interact with the outdoors via floor-to-ceiling windows and an outdoor terrace with full service dining and bar amenities, making the hotel a destination for either business or personal events. Other amenities include a wellness spa and fitness center, a bar and lounge, a full-service restaurant, and two swimming pools.

The hotel and lifestyle center are complemented by a five-acre park, dubbed Lake Walk Town Center, comprised of more than two miles of trails, parks, and ponds. We constructed the Lake Walk pavilion that features retail space, an outdoor amphitheater and stage for concerts and events, and an observation tower. The Lake Walk Town Center was designed by Nelsen Partners.

The new Stella Hotel and Lake Walk Town Center facilities complement the community’s luxury homes and the nearby golf course and Traditions Club, also built by Vaughn Construction. The facilities bring the Atlas development one step closer to its vision of “a walkable lifestyle community for the people working in the labs and offices of biotech and pharmaceutical companies relocating to Bryan and College Station.”
