Blueline was started by Jeff Barrett and Martin Diefenbach in 2005 as Blueline Engineering Inc. It was started as a new corporation to become a complimentary company to their existing construction company Diefenbach & Barrett Construction that would venture into the commercial and government marketplace. Blueline quickly grew and became a sought after company for precision woodwork and millwork projects throughout Northern California.
In 2010 Blueline assimilated the construction company Diefenbach & Barrett Construction into the corporation and became the full service, self-performing, general contractor it is today with a primary focus on high-end residential homes, and remodels in the San Francisco East Bay Area.
The Blueline Cabinet shop was started when it took over Jeff Barrett’s first shop Barrett Custom Woodwork in 2009. Barrett Custom Woodwork was started in 2002 in a garage with Jeff being its sole employee for the first couple years. The shop had a predominate focus on high end custom cabinets and built-ins in the East Bay. It now boosts 6 full time employees and a 7000ft facility in Pleasant Hill. The newest addition to the Blueline Cabinet shop was the 900ft onsite custom finishing shop in 2013.
