Scope Of Work
Building B of the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University is a five-level (four above, including a conditioned mechanical penthouse and one below grade) 175,000-square-foot building containing laboratory, office, and collaborative spaces. The Biodesign institute combines many of ASU’s top biomedicine & health outcomes, sustainability and security research centers including – Bioelectronic and Biosensors, BioEnergetics, Biosignatures Discovery Automation, Environmental Security, Evolutionary Medicine and Informatics, Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology, Innovations in Medicine, Personalized Diagnostics, Single Molecule Biophysics, Sustainable Health and Swette Center for Environmental Biotechnology.
The laboratories contain many of the same construction systems as forensic science labs - ultra-clean rooms (eliminating dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapors); containment systems for bio-science analytical procedures and the highest interior system performance standards for cleanliness, temperature, humidity, filtration, exhaust and vibration controls.
