Leadership In The Construction Industry

McWhorter and Co., Inc. was founded in 1971 by Earlon C. McWhorter. Together with Thomas P. Brock and Robert H. Kay, for forty-four years, McWhorter and Company, Inc. has provided its clients with a consistent team effort that has resulted in over 1,408 successful projects throughout the United States. From the bid process to key turnover, we manage every aspect of the project. We are currently licensed in over thirty-one states and have recently expanded our operations to include a branch office in Colorado. This office will help facilitate our growth in the Western United States and allow us to better serve our valued clients. Throughout the construction process we work closely with the Owner, Architect, Engineer, and City Officials to provide superior leadership and consistent quality on all projects.

At McWhorter and Co., Inc., our employees are the heart of our organization. We have a very low turnover rate for employees, which adds to our stability and experience as a general contractor. We have thirty-five full time employees, most of which have at least twenty years of service.


Construction Projects

McWhorter and Co., Inc. has built 202 Lowe's Home Centers, more than any other general contractor. We have received the Lowe's Distinguished Contractor Award and were recognized for twenty years of service to Lowe's Companies, Inc. We are very proud of our continuing relationship with Lowe's Companies, Inc.

We have also completed over sixty projects for the K-Mart Corporation. Other construction projects include multi-story office buildings, schools, banks, condominiums, and retail strip centers including Office Max, Staples, Winn Dixie, Kroger, and Barnes and Noble.
