Scope Of Work
Our job on this project is to supply about 680 perforated aluminum panels for the exit canopy of the parking ramp. Nearly one half of them are uniquely sized panels made to fit the architecture of the supporting frames. Besides punching the holes in the various sized panels, our punch also provided the countersunk holes required for fastening. Between the vast area that needed to be covered, the number of uniquely sized panel shapes, and the order of installation, planning and coordination were of utmost importance. Additionally, the panels were also anodized. Anodizing can result in slightly different shades of color on the metal with different lots of aluminum. Because of this, and the fact that none of the aluminum suppliers had enough coiled sheet material of a single lot for the whole job, special coordination and tracking is being done to keep the various lots grouped together in specific areas in case there was a color differentiation after anodizing. So far we have had positive comments about the quality of the perforated panels we are supplying.
