GAP was the largest single, non anchor, retailer in Orland Square Mall, and wanted to remodel their dated space, while not closing their doors for the Holiday season. SIMON wanted to reclaim previously unsealable common area space. Hudson was selected for this large and complex project. The design required the infill of a large portion of the 2nd floor atrium and moving the steel and concrete staircase that served that wing of the mall to the other side of the atrium, all while the mall staid open.
